The Calgary Folk Music Festival is one of Canada’s flagship, trailblazing music festivals. It's been held annually since 1980 at the beautiful Prince’s Island Park in Calgary, Alberta.
Our broad, cutting-edge programming boasts 70+ artists from near and far playing on seven stages in concerts and collaborative sessions featuring everything from folk to funk to global sounds and fresh hip hop.
Did you know the CFMF eco initiatives crew has been diverting upwards of 70% of all event-generated waste annually since the early 2010's with the help of volunteer education and sorting? Moving forward we are striving to implement processes that eliminate post-disposal sorting while achieving similar results, as we direct our programming towards stewardship and education.
In addition, the CFMF's ongoing partnership with eco initiatives sponsor Routine Natural Beauty underpins our growing dedication to sustainable consumption, supporting local businesses, and advancing a circular economy.
