How do tickets work this year?

Our festival is split into programming blocks, with festival passes and full day passes available. Our Thursday kick-off party is not included in our festival pass as capacity and tickets are limited. (Festival Hall just can't hold that many folkies!)

Are the outdoor activations free to attend?

The skating rink, fire pits, food trucks and all outdoor activations are indeed free to attend for the public. Tickets are required to see music programming at the outdoor tent and inside The Confluence at 3 stages. Outdoor activations can be accessed free-of-charge. Also free to attend: On January 30, in collaboration with Chinook Blast, Block Heater will have a free outdoor showcase at Eau Claire Market featuring performances by L'omelette and Tribe Artist Society

Is there a free stage?

On January 30, in collaboration with Chinook Blast, Block Heater will have a free outdoor showcase at Eau Claire Market featuring performances by L'omelette and the Tribe Artist Society. All other Block Heater musical events are ticketed.

What happens if one of the rooms/stages is full and at capacity?

Then head to another! There are 4 stages (3 of them inside the Confluence building) in operation. If there’s an artist you’re looking forward to seeing, be sure to arrive early to ensure your spot.

Who did the Block Heater artwork this year?

Our artist-in-residence this year is Heather Buchanan.

What if it's cold out?

Worry not, folkies! Our large outdoor mainstage tent is heated and walled, keeping you warm and toasty as you dance away the winter blues. Plus our indoor venues at The Confluence are mere steps away from the stage.

Bundle up to visit our food vendors and take in activities: skating rink, firepits and outdoor activations. You’ll be warm and toasty all festival long at our indoor/outdoor hybrid venue.

50:50 RAFFLE

Where can I get 50:50 tickets?
