Anyone who has witnessed or participated in Tribe Artist Society’s weekly hip hop cypher at the Werklund Centre or at the Calgary Folk Music Festival’s Talk Tent on Prince’s island Park will have an idea of the powerful community magic they create. This Indigenous-led hip hop and arts organization inspires artists to become their most powerful selves by providing access to Indigenous-friendly artistic spaces, education, coaching and mentorship. Tribe Artist Society creates sober spaces where hip hop, art and Indigenous culture live to bring people of all nationalities together in the spirit of reconciliation, peace, love, unity and safely having a blast.

A cool outgrowth of their work is a crew that brings the vibes with old school hip hop infectious, hard hitting rhymes and raps, built on their classic, community-focussed and building cyphers and collaboration. Anyone with a pulse will be grooving and singing along to their beats and powerful, joyful poetry.
