One Big Jam was founded and is helmed by multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Chris Maric, who’s known for his unique and energetic musical style and work with a vast array of artists and organizations, spanning multiple genres.

Witness curated chaos at its finest as inspiration takes you to the stage, with no setlists and charts. This special exhibition, free concert will showcase some of Calgary's most talented artists from across diverse cultural backgrounds, and challenge them to perform a fully-improvised performance, which always leads to exciting and unexpected one-of-a-kind moments filled with music, dance and poetry. Instrumentalists, singers, emcees, beatboxers, dancers and poets come from deeply rooted influences including R&B, soul, funk, jazz, gospel, hip hop reggae, blues and Afrobeat experiment through collaboration and challenge themselves to cultivate new sounds and connections.

Although jumping onto the stage to perform will be limited at this show, there will be plenty of opportunities for people to sing, dance and get involved.
