But he is not afraid to let his conviction take centre stage. Timbo’s music is deeply affecting. His voice, at times mellifluous and mellow, at other times rough and ragged with experience, caught the ears of Quincy Jones, Babyface and Tyrese who, at different times along the way, all helped him hang his star a little higher.
